Gardens to host ‘Scottish Play’

THE PLAY many actors won’t name for fear of bad luck is being staged in Seaford by Synergy Theatre.

The Eastbourne theatre company is not superstitious so it is putting on Macbeth by Shakespeare at The Crouch Gardens, East Street, on Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15 at 7pm.

The company said ‘The Scottish Play’ has been the scourge of many actors.

“From that famous opening where the Three Witches get together to compare diaries to the profound mental disintegration of Lady M, Macbeth is one of the classics and we hope to do The Bard proud,” they said.
