German choir performs in Seaford

A GERMAN choir will perform at Seaford Head Community College as part of the celebrations of 28 years of twinning in Seaford.

The Bonningstedt Pop Chor will take to the stage in Brass and Voices on Saturday May 28 with Seaford Silver Band and the Archway Choir.

The event will be at Seaford Head Hall in Arundel Road at 7.30pm.

Each group will be performing the highlights from their varied programmes.

The visiting choir is well-known for its interpretation of songs by the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and also American Spirituals.

Seaford Twinning Association concerts with the Silver Band, which has links with Bonningstedt going back to 1980, always feature the Bonningstedt March composed by a former director of the band and Sussex by the Sea.

There will be a wine, beer bar and a raffle.
