IN honour of British Pie Week (seriously, it is), Lewes FC is launching its own range of locally-made Rook Pies.
Starting from the home game against Carshalton tomorrow (Saturday, March 10), footie fans at The Dripping Pan will be able to feast on a range of delicious pies, freshly made by local cook Kim Mercer using only locally-sourced ingredients.
On offer will be Steak and Harveys, Chicken and Leek, Chicken Tikka and a vegetarian Homity Pie. No actual rooks are involved in the ingredients for any of the pies.
And you won’t even have to leave your seat at the match: pie-sellers will be bringing round trays of freshly-cooked pies right to the seats and terraces.
“Who ate all the pies?” Let’s wait and see what happens tomorrow …
