HAILSHAM Town Council invites members of the public and local organisations to attend this year’s Annual Town Meeting which takes place on Wednesday 27th April from 7.30pm at the Hailsham Community Hall, Vicarage Lane.
Hailsham Town Council has a statutory responsibility to inform residents of the work undertaken by the Town Council and its achievements during the past twelve months via an Annual Town Meeting.
The meeting will include a presentation and review of the past year by the current Town Mayor and Chairman, Councillor Robin Kempe, along with individual reports from each of the Standing Committee Chairs.
Mike Fleming, Director of Development Services at Wealden District Council will also be in attendance at the meeting to discuss the Town and District Council’s proposals for the refurbishment and ongoing maintenance of Hailsham Community Hall with members of the public.
The meeting will conclude with a question and answers session.
Encouraging members of the public to attend with their concerns, Town Clerk Liz Jones said, “The Annual Town Meeting gives residents an opportunity to raise questions on matters affecting the parish of Hailsham, see township government in action and hold your local council to account.
“It also presents an opportunity for town councillors to update residents on its achievements over the last 12 months.”
