Hailsham club gets police cash boost for coach journeys

PCSO Faye Fletcher presented a cheque for £600 to Hailsham Out and About Club recently to assist the club with coach journeys.

Hailsham Out and About Club said: ”Thank you, we will use the money for coaches to take out 40 disabled and elderly residents within the Hailsham area to monthly excursions. The coaches pick up every individual member around Hailsham and take them to various activities. This enables the members to get out of their home for the day as well as meet up with friends and see other people.”

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of money received by the police from property confiscated by order of court and then sold if an owner cannot be identified.

PCSO Faye Fletcher, Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “I am so glad that the out and about club will benefit from the money and that it will help continue their enjoyment.”
