Hailsham Lions Club and Hailsham in Bloom hold quiz night

A CHARITY quiz night has been organised for residents in support of Hailsham Lions Club and Hailsham In Bloom.

The event takes place at the Hailsham Community Hall in Vicarage Lane at 7.15pm on March 12.

Question rounds will include pot luck and a picture round, and a prize raffle draw will take place directly after the quiz. Any contributions towards auction prizes would be appreciated.

The cost is a £5 donation per person and there are no minimum numbers for teams (maximum is eight people). Entrants will need to bring their own food and drink.

Proceeds will be split between the Hailsham Lions’ Club and Hailsham In Bloom.

Town councillor Jeff Bentley-Astor, who will be hosting the quiz, said: “The quiz promises to be a great night out and will raise vital funds to support the development plans of the Hailsham In Bloom 2011 campaign, and help contribute towards the fundraising efforts of the Hailsham Lions’ Club who, through working with the local community, make a difference to the lives of the less fortunate in society.”

“Any help will be very much appreciated and I hope as many residents as possible are able to come along with a team. It will be a great way to kick-off the spring.”

Register teams by phoning: 01323 841702 (office hours) or 01323 842911 (evenings), stating team name and details.

There is a limited capacity so places will be reserved on a first come first served basis.

The last date for reservation entries is March 10, although all entry tickets will be sold at the door on the night.
