YOUNG sports enthusiasts at Oaks After School Club will benefit from new sports equipment in the run-up to the Olympics thanks to a donation of £200 from Hailsham Police.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

The club offers a pay-as-you-go scheme for working parents, enabling them to have extra childcare between their children finishing school and them finishing work.

PCSO Andy Harlow said: “The club offers an excellent service for working parents, and I’m pleased to be able to donate some money on behalf of Wealden police to go towards some more equipment.”
