Hailsham young footballers get money for new goals

ON BEHALF of the Under-6 nursery squad at Hailsham United Junior Football Club, coach Glen Toomey received a cheque for £250 from the Waitrose ‘community matters’ scheme.

Waitrose representatives Stuart Skan and Becky Arndle gave Mr Toomey the money to be used to buy portable goals for training.

Chairman Trevor Brand said: “We are extremely grateful to Waitrose for allowing us to participate in their scheme and can confirm the monies will be put to good use. Waitrose have supported our club for many years now and we look forward to continuing this association in the years ahead.”
