Our meeting on October 14, the actual anniversary of the Battle of Hastings, was spent looking at images from the Bayeux tapestry and discussing their meaning. This led to some very lively and entertaining discussions.
Our next meeting, on Tuesday (October 28), will be a cheese tasting afternoon where Eric Chauvel will share some of his wisdom and experience with us.
This event was a great success last year so we are looking forward to this one, which will involve different cheeses.
There will be a small charge of £1 or £2 to cover costs of wine for those who want it.
As usual, guests will be welcome. Our fortnightly Tuesday meetings are always in the hall of Holy Redeemer Church, Upper Church Road, St Leonards at 2.30pm.
