East Sussex Healthcare Trust is recruiting two health bosses to join the trust board.
The trust, which runs Eastbourne DGH and Conquest in Hastings, is recruiting a non-executive director and non-executive designate director.
Stuart Welling, chairman, said: “We are looking for two talented and committed people to join the Trust Board.
“I am looking for people who will be able to make a real contribution to taking the Trust further forward as a patient focused organisation delivering the best quality care for people of East Sussex.
“This is a challenging time for both the NHS and this organisation.
“The NHS has the very real challenge of increasing demand on services with an ever aging population while the cost of treatment, equipment, drug therapies and utilities continue to rise.
“As a Trust we also have to focus on delivering quality and safety improvements for local patients.
“We are working together with our health and social care partners and patient groups to deliver safer, effective and sustainable services for patients across East Sussex that improves quality and outcomes for our patients. At the same time we need to continue to develop the skills of our staff to deliver the highest standards of care for the people of East Sussex.
“I therefore welcome applications from anyone who would like to help us meet these challenges.”
Darren Grayson, former chief executive of the trust resigned in July following calls for him to quit after an inadequate CQC inspection in March.
The trust is looking for candidates with ‘genuine commitment’ to patients and the promotion of ‘excellent health care services’.
The time commitment is a minimum of two and half days each month but more typically around three to four days each month and remuneration is £6,157 per annum. The closing date for applications is 23 September 2015 at 11am and the interviews will be held on October 6, 2015.
