Like all Rotary Clubs, Heathfield and Waldron Rotary appointed a new President from July 1.
Members and guests enjoyed dinner at Blackstock Farm, Hellingly, on June 27 to celebrate.
Incoming President Mike Lamble, of Broad Oak. accepted the chain of office from outgoing President David Robinson and presented David with an original water colour painting by a local artist to say thank-you for all he has achieved over the past year.
Mike’s team of chairmen for the forthcoming year are: Mark Garnett (President elect), Jan Dunk (fundraising), John Kay (international), Graham Webb (community),Matt Bigwood (vocational) and Bob Robinson (foundation.)
Mike has been a Rotarian for 19 years and was President of the Heathfield Club in 2003/04.

Before he retired Mike worked for NatWest in Heathfield.
Guest after dinner speaker, David Adams, gave an entertaining account of his career as a sign writer whilst simultaneously painting a scene of the sun setting over the gulf coast of Florida.
