VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help give Hailsham High Street a revamp – in preparation for filling vacant shop frontages with artwork.
Town councillors say they want to clean vacant shop units, remove fly posters, clear out rubbish, and clean windows.
The initiative comes after council-led discussions with commercial letting agents and empty shop owners to enhance the appearance of empty premises in the town centre.
Volunteers are invited to join with town councillors on Saturday (July 30) to help prepare for the filling of shop frontages with locally produced artwork including paintings and photographs.
