A series of talks and outings are available throughout the year at the Lewes National Trust Centre.
The annual series of talks promoted by the Lewes National Trust Centre gets under way with membership of the centre open to all National Trust members.
Lewes Centre chair Bob Wilkins said: “There are still a number of National Trust members in the area who do not seem to have heard of us.
“We arrange day trips in the summer to a wide variety of locations and talks in the winter on all manner of topics, as well as a holiday each year.
“We also make representations to the Trust’s council on both local and national issues.”
The 2014/15 series starts on Thursday October 9 with Sy Morse Brown of the Lewes Priory Trust giving an insight into the Lewes Priory project.
Later subjects include both Lewes and Sussex, as well as Henry Vlll and Art Deco.
Each talk takes place at 7.30pm at Lewes Priory School, Mountfield Road. All are welcome.
Bob added: “Come and give us a try. Trust membership can be about more than visiting elegant houses and beautiful gardens in the summer.”
Membership of the Lewes Centre gives you the opportunity to meet new people with an interests in heritage and to take part in organised visits.
