A new business association in Herstmonceux which helps support traders in the village and surrounding areas has been busy setting up schemes to encourage people to buy local.
The Herstmonceux Business Association has already been successful in opening a local produce market and now plans to hold a special Christmas market on December 7.
The business association, which also supports traders in Windmill Hill and Cowbeech, was set up to encourage local buying and selling, and encourage business growth in the area. It also aims to support businesses of all types and provide the environment to develop Herstmonceux as a place to do business.
The association also seeks out grant funding where available, and helps support business expansion. The business association is encouraging as many businesses as possible to join it. The annual membership fee is £20.
The next open meeting to discuss business ideas is on Tuesday (November 12) at 6.30pm at Davenports Delicatessen, Gardner Street. Every business is welcome to attend. To keep up to date with all the HBA news, and market dates visit the Facebook page - Herstmonceux Business Association.
