In Bloom comp winners praised

Hailsham residents and businesses were enjoying the taste of success last week as the winners of this year’s Hailsham In Bloom competitions were notified of their success.

Hailsham In Bloom judges visited various gardens and short-listed nominees for a variety of categories.

The Deputy Mayor Cllr Richard Grocock, and in bloom chairman, praised all the entries.

Hailsham in Bloom 2012 winner results: Best Kept Front Garden: Ron Cousens (runner-up: Lilian Woodley); Best Allotment: A. Durham (runner-up: Mr B. Pullen); Best Large Business Premises: Tesco (North Street): Best Small Business Premises: Mark Soper Opticians; Best Public House Display: The White Hart (Upper Horsebridge); and Hailsham Heritage Award 2012: Hailsham Parish Church.

Winners and runners-up of each competition will be presented with their prizes at an awards evening at the town council on September 19 2012.
