Chichester Jazz Club continues its 21st season with the arrival of the Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion Jazz Quintet.
Club spokesman Hugh Ashton said: “After eight years of playing together, it was natural for the musical partnership of guitarist, Rob Koral and vocalist, Zoe Schwarz to create the Blue Commotion Jazz Quintet.
“Featuring a conventional line-up, the band brings a jazz sensibility to Zoe and Rob’s earthy originals and more traditional blues songs by such as Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters and Nina Simone.
“Zoe and Rob have played many times at CJC as has bassist Steve Thompson, one of the South Coast’s most popular. Also on show, Gareth Williams is one of the UK’s most creative and exciting pianists, leading his own bands as well working with countless other top jazz musicians. Drummer Paul Robinson has vast experience in a wide range of musical genres.
