THE JUDICIAL review into the decision by East Sussex County Council to register the West Beach as a Village Green was taking place at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
The case was due ran from Tuesday November 8 to Thursday November 10.
This is a court case between Newhaven Port and Properties (NPP) which owns the West Beach, and the county council.
Newhaven Town Council was represented at the hearing as an interested party.
The town council and NPP have been at loggerheads for some years now, over public access to the beach.
NPP has previously argued allowing public access to the beach could jeopardise the long term future of the port and raised concerns about liability for accidents.
The town council wanted to turn it into a village green to safeguard public access to the beach.
