Train services between Robertsbridge and Hastings have been cancelled after a land slip at Wadhurst Tunnel on Sunday December 22.
Southeastern Trains said buses had replaced trains between these stations and a shuttle train service was in operation between Robertsbridge and Hastings with journey times extended by up to 30 minutes.
Network Rail were not expecting to have cleared the lines before the end of services today (Monday December 23).
A statement on the rail operator’s website said: “We are sorry for the delays this may mean to your journey, and don’t forget you can claim Delay Repay if you are delayed by 30 minutes or more.”
It urged people to check its live running information or www.nationalrail.co.uk before they travelled.
Southeastern said bad weather may affect travel further this afternoon (Monday December 23) through to tomorrow morning (Christmas Eve.)
The Met Office is forecasting heavy rain and strong winds from 4pm in the afternoon through to 9am tomorrow.
As a precaution a speed restriction of 50 miles an hour will be in place.
There may be some services cancelled at short notice - particularly in the Kent and Sussex coastal areas.
