A CONSULTATION about parking in the Lewes area will come to an end on Sunday February 6.
The consultation will focus on Lewes town and surrounding villages, including Ringmer, Falmer and Barcombe.
This is part of the Lewes Parking Review launched in November and involves a comprehensive look at all on-street parking controls to see whether any changes are needed.
Letters are going out to residents of Lewes and the surrounding areas to let them know how they can have their say.
But the council is also keen to hear the views from people living in the coastal towns.
An independent transport consultant, Atkins, has been appointed to consult local residents, businesses and interested parties.
Their findings will be published and the council will ask them to draft specific proposals to address the issues that people have raised, as well as those we are already aware of in other parts of Lewes district.
People who might be affected by any changes will have a chance to comment on the proposals and to suggest changes, before plans are finalised.
Councillors will consider any objections before deciding whether or not the changes should be implemented.
