Last chance to nominate your unsung heroes in Lewes District Council awards

Do you know an unsung hero who looks after the young or the old, who runs a sports club or provides rescue services?

Or can you think of someone whose good work benefits the community?

If so you might like to nominate them for Lewes District Council’s Unsung Heroes Awards.

Chair of Lewes District Council Tony Nicholson is appealing to people to nominate someone who they feel deserves special recognition for volunteering their services for the good of the community in the Lewes District area.

He will hold a special awards ceremony at Newhaven Fort in Fort Road on Saturday April 11 to honour them.

But hurry, there is not much time to nominate.

If you know someone you would like to nominate, you can send their name and address and a brief description of their work for the community to caroline.hanlon@lewes.gov.uk by the end of February.
