A festival in Peacehaven’s Centenary Park with guided walks and bike rides is just one of the exciting events coming up in the final week of the Lewes Hike and Bike Festival (May 30-June 21).
Organisers promise there is something for everyone, with walks, rides and talks taking place across Lewes District to suit all abilities.
They are urging people to take part in Lewes Bike to Work Day on Tuesday June 16 and leave their cars at home.

“The second is a return of the popular 56-mile Tour de Lewes that takes a figure of eight route around Lewes with a start and finish in the town.
“On Sunday June 14 we are proud to be able to show the award winning documentary Bikes Vs Cars that looks at the growing conflict where cyclists and drivers meet considers how communities and politicians meet these challenges.
“After the film we have a number of speakers who will debate the issues that the film raises.”
On Sunday June 14 there is short three mile circular walk from Lewes to Cooksbridge led by rangers from the National Park that follows the River Ouse, starting at 2pm.
