The Uckfield Leos presented a cheque for £200 to Janine Williams, national development officer for disabled and able bodied club PHAB.

The Uckfield Leos Club has been in existence for four years and is based at UCTC and is made up of members of the Uckfield Community Technology College sixth form.

The Leos are sponsored and supported by the Uckfield and District Lions Club and raise money to pass on to local charities and good causes and support the Lions in the work that they do.

The Leos raise money by collections, cake sales, holding sponsored events and by organising other activities at the college.

They have supported many charities including Damelzer, the Rocking Horse Appeal, McMillan Nurses and Care for the Carers.

They have also helped collect at the Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival procession and with Santa at Christmas, run stalls at fetes, been involved with the Lions’ Special Olympics and have acted as marshals for the Uckfield Lions Fun Run.
