FOUR motorbikes, 3,000 miles and nine days ... that’s the recipe for a charity fund-raiser devised by Shaun Chrismas, owner of Lewes Property Renovation.
While recuperating from an operation, Shaun decided that he wanted to ride around the coastal roads of Britain and at the same time raise money for St Peter and St James Hospice, at Chailey.
The 3,000-mile trip will start on Friday, June 22, from The Anchor Inn, Ringmer, and will take the riders to some of the wildest and most beautiful parts of the British Isles.
Places they will visit during the marathon challenge include Land’s End, the Lake District, Loch Lomond, John O’Groats and on some of the best motorcycling roads in the country.
The ‘Biking The Coast’ team, made up of Shaun, Ady Marshall, Tim Green and Danny Mizon, hopes to raise £2,000 for the hospice and to complete the 300-mile-a-day challenge in just nine days.
Anyone wishing to follow the team’s progress can visit their Facebook page where they will keep all their kind sponsors up to date on their experiences as the tour travels clockwise around the coast – www.facebook.com/bikingthecoast
Ady said: “We have set up a Just Giving page and if anyone sponsors us more than £10 they can enter our ‘guess the mileage competition’ to be in with a chance of winning £100. Check out our team page: www.justgiving.com/teams/bikingthecoast
