Lewes teenager arrested on suspicion of arson

A TEENAGER was arrested following a fire at Sussex Downs College in Lewes.

Police were called at around 4.35pm on Saturday (June 9) following a fire at a storage building at the college in Mountfield Road.

Damage was caused to the roof of the building as a result of the fire. No one was injured.

A 14-year-old boy from Lewes was arrested at around 7.20pm on Saturday on suspicion of arson.

He has been bailed until September 3 pending further enquiries.
