WE ALL know that terrible feeling when out-and-about in town and suddenly there comes a terribly urgent need to use a loo.
The misery can be made painfully worse if no available toilets are in sight.
But a new community toilet scheme helping people to spend a penny looks set to flush away such fears after it was expanded to Hailsham and Uckfield.
Some 17 shops, pubs and restaurants across Wealden are offering free toilet facilities during their normal opening hours, and many also provide facilities for people with disabilities and babies.
