LIP reading classes will begin at Seaford Hard of Hearing Club from Tuesday September 13. Classes take place on Tuesday mornings over six terms of five weeks each throughout the year at St James’ Clubhouse, Blatchington Road. Seaford. The club began a lip reading group around 14 years ago. Lip reading class leader Jennie Ancell said: “Impaired hearing can cause a feeling of isolation and frustration when trying to communicate. Activities such as getting together with family and friends and attending medical appointments can be very difficult for those with reduced hearing and confidence is often lost. We are a very friendly, relaxed group and together with our tutor, Gill Houghton and her beautiful Hearing Dog Nell.”
