Animal Kingdom to be screened by Uckfield Film Society

THE UCKFIELD Film Society’s February film shows a side to Melbourne that we don’t normally see. The city known for its culture, city river and café society, has a darker side.

Animal Kingdom is the 2010 gritty crime drama written and directed by David Michôd, inspired by the Pettingill family of Melbourne, who in 1988 saw the acquittal of Trevor Pettingill in the murder of two Victoria police officers. The film received several awards and nominations. academy awards. Animal Kingdom is on at the Uckfield Picture House on Sunday evening, February 12.
