‘Be prepared’ for snow in East Sussex warning

SOME AREAS of East Sussex have been given a warning upgrade to be prepared for snow tomorrow, Saturday February 4.

The Met Office has upgraded part of the region from yellow (‘be aware’) to amber (‘be prepared’).

Wet weather from Northern Ireland and Western Scotland will turn to sleet and snow as it moves eastwards.

There will be 2-5cm of snowfall in places with 5-10cm estimated in the amber warning area.

Other areas in the South East are still being kept at the ‘be aware’ level of warning.

A ‘Be aware’ level of warning remains for the whole region for Sunday.

A Met Office update said: “The public are advised that this [weather] is likely to lead to some travel disruption.

“It is recommended to keep up to date with forecasts as the event approaches.”
