Brainboxes scoop £37,000

SUSSEX Wildlife Trust brain boxes have beaten the BBC's formidable quiz champions on Eggheads winning prize money of £37,000.

During the broadcast on BBC Two on Wednesday, March 3 at 6pm, The Wise Owls, comprising members of staff at the Henfield based Trust, smashed the country's finest quiz goliaths on subjects including politics, food and drink, history and sport.

Everyday on Eggheads a new team takes on the resident quiz panel for the chance of winning a cash prize.

Every time the Eggheads win, the prize money rolls over for the next competitors.

Team Captain from the trust, Education Manager Nigel Flynn, said: "It's a fantastic and sizable win against the Eggheads.

"The team had donated all its winnings to the trust, so we can continue our work helping to conserve the county's wonderful wildlife and habitats."
