BREAKING NEWS: Arrests made following alleged armed robbery at Hailsham service station

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident at the Hawkswood Service Station in Hawkswood Road, Hailsham, on Monday 29 October.

Two masked men entered the service station at 9.10pm, armed with an axe and threatened a member of staff before making off with the contents of the cash register and cigarettes.

The men aged 51, 24 and 21 were arrested yesterday (1 November) following an appeal for information which was publicised by local media.

All three have been bailed until November 16 pending further enquiries. The cigarettes have been recovered.
