Charity fashion show to be staged in Newhaven in aid of Searchlight

Travelling Trends will host a charity fashion show at Newhaven Enterprise Centre, on Denton Island, on Thursday October 25, to raise much needed funding for Searchlight.

The charity, based in Mountpleasant, Newhaven, offers residential, respite care and day care services for adults with physical and learning difficulties.

An evening of fashion and fun is promised, with plenty of High Street clothes at greatly reduced prices on offer.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will be match funded by The ACT Foundation, so bargain hunters are encouraged to spend in the name of a great cause.

Basepoint runs the enterprise centre and is part of The ACT Foundation – a leading UK grant making charity.

Roxanne Haid, centre manager at Basepoint Newhaven, said: “We are very excited to be welcoming ‘Travelling Trends’ to Basepoint Newhaven.

“The fashion show is sure to be a great success and we look forward to fundraising for Searchlight; a very worthy charity doing great things for people with learning disabilities.

“There will be plenty of bargains on offer, so if you’re feeling thrifty come along!”

The event will be held at 7pm on Thursday October 25.

Tickets cost £6 and will include a free glass of wine. To buy tickets in advance from the centre, call: 01273 615250.

There is plenty of parking and easy access by public transport.
