Exclusive CCTV video of Hastings kebab shop fight

This is just some of the shocking CCTV footage which led to a kebab shop having its licence revoked.

Last week the local authority decided to strip the Kebab Hut (formerly known as USA Fried Chicken and Kebab) of its licence after police complained the area surrounding it on the corner of White Rock and Claremont had become a hot spot for booze-fueled violence.

And here in CCTV images exclusive to the Observer, readers can see for themselves an example of just why the decision was taken.

One clip shows a customer smashing a metal chair over another's head while another captures the punches being traded at the venue's bar.

The Observer also had to cut some scenes because they were too graphic - including one shot of a woman being dragged along the tiled floor, leaving a trail of blood behind her.

Another grainy image showed a man attack another customer with a pool cue before calmly placing it back on the table and returning to the dancefloor with his girlfriend.

The owner of the Kebab Hut - which was at the centre of the late-night fight which resulted in foreign student Mohammed al-Majed's tragic death last year - have 21 days in which to appeal the decision.
