Falmer road rage witnesses sought
Police are looking for witnesses who saw a road rage incident in a queue of traffic at the University of Sussex on Friday 19 October.
At around 5.30pm the victim was driving with a friend in a queue on Knights Gate Road on the university campus at Falmer when they were involved in a minor collision with the car in front. The victim and his passenger got out of the car and headed to the car in front.
One of the suspects got out of their Ford Fiesta car and approached the victim who was slashed across the hand by an unknown weapon. He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton before being transfered to the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead for surgery.
The car linked to the attack was located and two men, both aged 20 from London, have been arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm and bailed until December 28.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1411 of 19/10.
