Fearsome Beastie nominated for Rotherham Book Awards

THE FEARSOME Beastie by Seaford author Giles Paley-Philips has been short-listed for the 2012 Rotherham Book Awards in the picture book category.

Giles said: “To see so many children involved in an event dedicated to the wonder of books and reading is fantastic.

“And with previous winners including Michael Morpurgo, it is an honour to be nominated. I am so thrilled to be involved in this fantastic award.”

The winners of the 2012 Awards, which are voted for by children, will be announced on June 20,.

Children will have chance to read and explore the nominated books, before casting their votes.

Giles has already won a Bizzie Baby gold award, has been highly commended in America’s Forward Literature Awards and has also been nominated for the People’s Book Prize in the UK.
