Festive thespians set to perform Christmas tale
MIRACLE on 34th Street, described as a 20th century Christmas carol, is the Pamphilon Theatre Club's new production scheduled for Friday, November 27.
The 1947 film featured Maureen O'Hara as the mother and Natalie Wood as the little girl but many will remember Richard Attenborough's appearance as the old man in the 1994 remake.
Funded by the Arts Council to develop rural touring theatre in the South East, Farnham Maltings has transformed the story into two hours of magical, rough-edged theatre complete with Santa's grotto, thanksgiving parade and newly-fallen show.
The Pamphilon Theatre is in the grounds of Uckfield Community Technology College.
