Fire at home in North Chailey on Valentine’s Day
Fire fighters were caled to a home in North Chailey on Valentines Day (February 14) at 1.19am where they found the roof on fire.
A fire engine from Barcombe and two from Haywards Heath were dispatched to the scene in Warrs Hill Lane.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sent water bowser from Uckfield was also sent, as we were another three fire engines, two from Uckfield and one from Lewes.
A further fire engine from Crowborough was then dispatched along with the Control Unit from Lewes.
The fire was under control by 3.59am.
