Fundraiser gives £2,000 to lifeboats
The Fish and Chip night helped boost funds for Eastbourne Lifeboat
A couple who organise fundraisers at Deanland Park Wood, near Golden Cross, have presented £2,000 to Eastbourne lifeboats.
Frank and Jane Wellbelove presented the latest cheque to lifeboat coxswain Mark Sawyer on Sunday February 24.
This brings the total they have raised in the last two years to a staggering £10,250.
For many years Frank has been a Governor for the RNLI and sits on the Eastbourne lifeboats fundraising committee.
Along with his wife Jane he organises various events for the residents at Deanland Wood Park, including an annual SOS ‘Fish ‘n’ Chip’ supper.
In presenting the cheque Frank was keen to point out that without the support of his fellow residents this achievement would not have been possible.
