Funeral of former Heathfield Parish Council chairman

THE FUNERAL of former Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council chairman and Wealden District Councillor Peter Newnham will take place at All Saints Parish Church, Waldron at 2pm and afterwards at The Star in the village.

Peter, who was 69, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 20 at Eastbourne District General Hospital after a short illness. Everyone is welcome to attend the funeral but family flowers only please. If you would like to you can make a donation made payable to Macmillan Nurses or The Kit Wilson Trust via Heathfield Funeral Service in Hailsham Road.
