GALLERY: Couple renew wedding vows at sea

A COUPLE decided on a change of scenery when they renewed their wedding vows at sea near Beachy Head.

Sarah and Paul Isles persuaded the vicar of St Michael's Church in Newhaven to join them for the adventure.

Also at the ceremony on Wednesday July 1 were nine family members and friends, the skipper and the boat owner.

Sarah, from Newhaven, said: 'The sea was quite choppy going out, but when we got to Beachy Head, the wind dropped and the sea was perfect.

'The ceremony was lovely and the vicar, Reverend Martin Miller, performed it beautifully and, where necessary, adapted it to our quite unique surroundings.

'We didn't lose anyone overboard and no-one was ill.

'The sea was lovely and flat for the journey back, during which we stopped alongside Seven Sisters and then Cuckmere Haven.'

The couple fmarried on Wedesday July in 20 years ago in 1989.
