Gifts for bookworms at hospice second-hand shop
Hundreds of pre-loved books are up for grabs at the St Wilfrid's Hospice Donation Centre in Summersdale which is going from strength to strength.
Volunteer Ann Willard, who looks after the second-hand book section at the shop, spends at least four days a week sorting through the hundreds of good-quality pre-loved books that come into the shop daily.
Manager Juliette Blackstaffe said: "If you are a book-lover do come and have a browse through our interesting selection of popular classics, novels and specialist literature.
"It's not just books that can be found in the second-hand bookshop as Ann has expanded the range of articles sold to include videos, puzzles, toys, CDs and DVDs, too."
There are paperbacks and hardbacks, ranging from cookery, gardening and DIY, to travel, history, and poetry.
As well as books, the shop has a selection of furniture, bric-a-brac and soft furnishings.
St Wilfrid's Hospice Donations centre is open six days a week between 9am and 5pm.
There is free parking for customers and larger bought items can be delivered locally for a small charge.
