The Hailsham Trust is being re-launched under new management.
The charity was original set up in 1999 as an informal partnership and registered as a company with charitable objectives in 2003. The Trust delivered projects such as the Hailsham Community Juice Bar and Cafés for All but fell into financial difficulty in 2009.
In 2013 the Trust was taken over by new management who are in the process of re-launching it so that it can, once again, provide support to the local community.
The organisation aims to provide services to support children and families, young people, black and minority ethnic (BME) communities, employability and training, healthy lifestyles, wellbeing, and community activities.
John Cornish, the Chair of Hailsham Trust, said: “These are very difficult times for so many and the Trust is specifically for the benefit of Hailsham people and the surrounding area. Re-launching the Trust we welcome fresh contact with local organisations so we can work with and alongside you. Please do contact either myself or Jenny Leon at Prospects House. We will do our best to support and help you make things happen.”
One-to-one employment advice sessions as well as a regular job club NewCEP are now based at Prospects House, Hailsham Trust’s community building, two days a week. For more information contact NewCEP on 01273-516347 or visit www.ncda.org.uk
