Participants in a Halloween Guided Walk in Lewes next Thursday evening (October 31) are asked to bring a torch to light part of the route which includes hidden alleyways.
The topical theme is Haunted Lewes and Halloween Customs, revealing the curious origins of this popular yet often misunderstood event.
“It’s less about witches and more about folklore and the supernatural,” said walk leader Malcolm Campbell.
Starting at 8pm at Lewes Castle’s main entrance, admission to what promises to be an atmospheric and enjoyable evening is £8 for adults, £4 for accompanied child, payable at the time.
Reservations are not necessary and the duration of the walk is approximately one hour and 20 minutes. Dogs on short leads will be permitted.
