Heathfield Chamber of Commerce takes stand at Le Marche for the first time
IT was a successful first for Heathfield Chamber of Commerce which took a stand at Le Marche, the town’s Anglo-French market for the first time this year.
Spokeswoman Barbara Hibbart said: “We wanted to support this important event and promote the Chamber to the many visitors to Heathfield. It was an opportunity to talk to people about the work of the Chamber. Thank you to everyone who provided useful feedback about Heathfield First and other Chamber projects.”
The Chamber also organised a ‘treasure hunt’ for children to raise money for the Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice which serves the area. Oliver Beeney was the winning ‘hunter’ with a prize donated by Sainsbury’s.
The stand also focused on the Wealden Business Expo on October 16 where 50 local firms will showcase products and services. Entrance is free and this year there is something for everyone including a free programme of general interest seminars including wine tasting, eye health and successful investment. The Chamber is thriving and plans to continue to increase its membership with a programme including breakfast meetings and social events. Information from Clare Lane at clarelane@hrhlaw.co.uk.
