Heathfield’s second Business Expo to be staged
FINAL preparations are now being made for Heathfield’s second Business Expo at the State Hall, Station Road on October 16.
Organisers have put banners up in the High Street and elsewhere across the District while thousands of flyers have been distributed to households and businesses.
On the day there really will be something for everyone. The event will be officially opened at 10.30am and there will be more than 50 local businesses showcasing products and services.
Throughout the day there will be a programme of general interest seminars which will include wine tasting by the High Street’s Cuculo Delicatessen, how to begin investing successfully by Clyde Young of St James Place Wealth Management and preparing your car for winter by a representative from Goldsmith and Allcorn. There will also be goodie bags for the first 200 visitors to the exhibition
This year an even wider range of businesses will be represented at Expo. These include local award winning photographer Sarah Tate, beautiful silver jewellery by Slipada, boxes of handmade chocolates by the Sussex Chocolate Company and Hastings-based Carr Taylor wines. There is also local accountant Andrew Petfield, legal firms Kay Family Law and HR Hughes and IT support from Ingenuity.
Free general interest seminars include: ‘How to choose your battles with the kids’ by the State Hall Playgroup (10.30am;)’ Preparing your car for winter’ (11am;) ‘Getting results’ by David Gover of Gover Fitness (11.30am;)’ The 28 hour day’ by Barbara Hibbart of Barbara Hibbart Coaching; for your eye care – ‘We care’ by Melina Joy of Melina Joy Opticians (12.30pm) ‘Wine tasting’ by James Long of Cuculo (2pm) and ‘Five rules of successful investmen’t by Clyde Young of St James Wealth Management (2.45pm.)
