History is made with ‘resounding success’ for Hailsham theatre company’s first show
Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex, Peter Field, with actress Tamara Wilder.
HISTORY was made at the Hailsham Pavilion last week with the debut of The Ropemaker Theatre Company’s, ‘The Comedy Of Terrors’ by John Goodrum.
Starring Tamara Wilder and Aonghus Weber in the lead roles, the evening began with a red carpet launch seeing dignitaries enjoy the madcap comedy of mistaken identity.
Distinguished guests included The Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex, Peter Field; High Sheriff Of East Sussex David Allam, actor Richard Graham, and many other local mayors and guests.
The evening was rounded off with a buffet supper where everyone agreed that bringing professional theatre to Hailsham for the first time was a resounding success, and an exciting addition to the Hailsham Pavilion’s repertoire.
The Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex said: “What a lovely play, delightfully acted by Tamara and Aonghus, and a really brilliant start for Ropemaker Theatre Co.”
