Horsham lines up half term fun
A WEALTH of half term holiday activities have been organised in the Horsham district - from dodgeball to abseiling, netball to darts - there's something for everyone.
Organised by Horsham District Council's Leisure Link team, the Up4it programme for the first week of June includes a variety of sports and arts activities for children and young people in the district.
But hurry, these activities are always popular so book early to avoid disappointment.
There are many activities for children to choose from.
Trainee Robin Hoods may like to try out the archery sessions taking place at Forest School in Horsham on Thursday June 3 or in Billingshurst on Friday June 4, for boys and girls aged eight to 13.
The multi-sport challenge on Friday June 4 at Forest School, Horsham, gives children the opportunity to try out a selection of different sports including dodgeball, new age kurling, baseball and cricket.
Or there's the alternative indoor sports day on Wednesday June 2 at Forest School, Horsham, where children can learn to play darts, pool, handball and curling amongst others.
For all aspiring footballers there's a choice of football camps and football courses to be inspired by.
At Southwater Country Park on Tuesday June 1 children can take part in a junior orienteering day, where they'll take part in a fun competition and learn some outdoor skills.
Parents are welcome to join in on a mountain biking expedition through Leechpool and Owlbeech woods on Thursday June 3.
For more information on the range of activities available and the prices to attend, pick up an Up4it activity guide from the Horsham District Council offices in North Street, Horsham.
A number of reduced price activities are available for Leisure Access Card holders.
To book any Leisure Link activity, either go to www.horsham.gov.uk and on the homepage, under 'what do you want to do?' select 'leisure online booking' and follow the instructions on the resulting page. Alternatively, book by phone or in person by visiting The Capitol box office on North Street, Horsham, or phone 01403 750220 from 10am-7pm Monday to Saturday.
