JO CAULFIELD - Komedia, Brighton February 24

ONE OF the sharpest comediennes in the country comes to Brighton on Wednesday.

Jo Caulfield is an acclaimed comic on the stand-up circuit and a regular on TV and Radio 4.

Fans of sofa-based comedy will recognise from numerous appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Mock the Week, and as well as being familiar voice on a number of radio shows she was also the star of her own series It's That Jo Caulfield Again.

This week she takes her Edinburgh show: Jo Caulfield: Won't Shut Up to the Komedia and, provided the show hasn't transformed beyond all recogniton since August, her targets are set to include Dragon's Den, MPs' expenses claims and smug young couples.

A gag from her website shows her material can be fairly acerbic ("Seeing all the media Michael Jackson's death has got, hopefully it might give Lilly Allen's PR team some ideas.") but critics agree she's a charming and very likable performer.

Tickets are priced 12-14 and are available on-line at www.komedia.co.uk/brighton or from the Box Office on 0845 293 8480.
