A wrestling night will be staged at the Meridian Centre in Peacehaven for the first time on Saturday February 23.

Premier Promotions, whose shows have been running for 25 years, will be presenting a special night of high-flying action, featuring an all-in American Rumble.

The event is expected to sell out in advance and is being staged in aid of the Mayor of Peacehaven’s local projects fund.

It will feature star names from the world of wrestling in a programme including tag team and solo bouts.

The high point will be the rumble, in which the wrestlers can only be eliminated by being thrown out of the ring over the top rope.

The last man standing is the winner.

Tickets from the Meridian Centre, £10 adults, £9 concessions or £36 family ticket (two adults and two children).

A spokesperson for the town council said: “It promises to be great and fun evening which will take you back to those 1960’s Saturday afternoon World of Sport.”
