A business which evolved from the internet and opened up its own shop has celebrated its first birthday.
Glen and Lindsay Barrow decided to set up Country Furniture Warehouse (CFW) 14 months ago after Glen left his father’s furniture business where he had worked for nearly 20 years.
They then set about designing their own family business and officially opened to the public in December last year.
Lindsay said: “Initially, CFW was an Internet only business with its distribution warehouse on Northfield Business Park, Lower Dicker, near Hailsham.
“However, following a successful planning application, CFW now has a trade counter.”
Linday said either herself or Glen are always on duty, as well as having a little ‘help’ from their two-year-old son, Charlie.
Tomorrow (Saturday December 7) CFW will be selling locally grown Christmas trees.
CFW is open seven days a week from 9am until 5pm and 10am until 4pm on Sundays.
It is based at Northfield Business Park, in Lower Dicker.
