Major delays on A27 near Lewes
A MULTI car shunt at the Falmer slip road caused major delays this morning (Friday March 19) on the A27 westbound.
Sussex Police said 11 vehicles were involved in the collision which happened at around 8.10am.
Traffic jams built up back to the Lewes by-pass while the scene was cleared.
Most of the drivers were able to leave the road unassisted and the highway was made safe by 8.53am.
One woman was slightly injured and was treated by ambulance paramedics at the scene.
